Maureen Zessin

Maureen C. Zessin, 59 of Saranac Lake, died suddenly on Monday November 18, 2019.

Born in Saranac Lake on April 7, 1960, she was the daughter of Monroe and Carol Ann (Murray) Gladd. Maureen is predeceased by both of her parents, younger sister Margaret and her husband George.

Maureen loved living in Florida with her family and enjoyed visits from friends and relatives, her favorite past time was listening to oldies on the radio. Maureen was a loving wife to her husband George for 21 years, after his death in 2017, she moved back to Saranac Lake to be closer to her family.

Maureen is survived by her sons, Steven, Dominic, Timothy and Jonathan. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, one great grandchild and one on the way. Maureen is also survived by her brothers, Monroe and John, Sisters, Marcia, Mary and Janet as well as several nephews and nieces.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. At Maureen’s request there will be no calling hours or services. There will be a family gathering to celebrate her life. Date, time and location to be determined.
