Cris Zervas, 77, of Saranac Lake passed away Sunday Sept 30th, 2018 at Adirondack Medical Center after a long battle with illness.
Cris was born September 14th of 1941 in Greece. Cris was easy to love, always smiling and cheering others up. Cris loved anything to do with making someone happy or helping someone in anyway. This past year Cris started a pack back drive by the name of "Fall Back with Cris' Packs" for students who may need financial assistance to have all the needed supplies in school. Cris had lots of opportunities to donate to schools near and far but he preferred to ensure he was giving back to his own community. Just this past month you may have come across a newspaper article on him donating backpacks to the local Girl Scout troop. Cris loved to attend the summer car shows in town, he was fascinated with cars and how they have evolved over many years. His favorite car was a red 1958 Oldsmobile aids Super 88 Hardtop. Often you could find Cris enjoying a big bowl of ice cream while listening to The Platters. Gatherings for Celebratory occasions were one of the most important things to Cris, he loved being involved and surrounded by the ones he loved. The sparkle in his eyes will surely be missed and not forgotten.
Cris was predeceased by his mother Helen Rochelle and Father Peter Zervas.
He is survived by his dear sister Nancy Kontopirokis of Brooklyn, NY his Niece's Stephanie and Alicia Kontopirokis of Morganville, NJ and His Nephew Peter (Kelly) Zervas of Tampa, FL along with many great nieces and nephews, and ones who supported him throughout the years.
