Elinor A. Woods passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Uihlein Medical Center following a lengthy illness with family by her side.
Elinor was born May 16, 1924, to Alonzo and Anna Kelley in Bangor.
Elinor’s siblings, Robert Kelley and Richard Kelley, predeceased Eleanor, along with a sister who passed away at birth.
In 1946, Elinor married Richard (Dick) Woods. Dick predeceased Eleanor in 1990. Eleanor was employed with Marine Midland for many years. Most recently, Eleanor worked a few hours a week for the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. Eleanor was a hard-working woman and a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Elinor was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and a devoted Catholic.
Elinor is survived by her three sons: Richard (Karen) Woods of Spring Hills, Fla., Michael (Connie) Woods of Hubbardsville and William (Rosemary) Woods of Irving, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 1 to 3 p.m Friday, Jan. 18, at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A funeral service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Patrick O’Reilly.
