Mary Anna Woodruff, age 82, of 45 Duprey Street, Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013.

Born in Lake Placid, New York on October 17, 1931, she was the daughter of Earl and Mary M. (Donnelly) Blinn. Mary, married Arnold Woodruff on December 1, 1951 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake. He predeceased her on March 6, 2013.

Mrs. Woodruff had been a life long resident of the area and had operated a home based family day care where she cared for many children over the years.

She is survived, four sons, Richard Woodruff and his wife Laurie of Ray Brook, Brian Woodruff and his companion Charlotte Manning of Lake Placid, Scott Woodruff and his companion Kathy Moody of Greenwich, Matthew Woodruff and his wife Thea of Bloomingdale, two daughters Marilyn Spencer and her husband David of South Royalton, VT and Linda Hutti and her life companion Curtis Smith of Peru, one brother Patrick Blinn of Lake Placid, and one sister Doris Spotts of Lake Placid, 13 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by his father, mother, three sisters Fran Perkins, Gwen Watson and Gert Blinn and one brother Dick (Brownie) Blinn.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday December 13, 2013 at St. Bernard's Church, with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Burial will take place in North Elba Cemetery.
