Kendyl Willette

December 11, 1959 — September 18, 2018

Born in Saranac Lake, on Dec 11, 1959, to Addie M. (LaFountain) and Paul A. Wilette, Kendyl David Willette, of the Bloomingdale Willette's, passed peacefully with family by his side Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Stratton VAMC in Albany, NY.

Kendyl played football as a Redskin and was a proud 1978 graduate of Saranac Lake High School. Honorably serving in the US Marine Corps, from 1983-1987, he had deployments in Japan and Korea. Married to Sarah Skeels in 1983 , Kendyl became a proud father in 1984. A talented carpenter and wood worker, he enjoyed helping people and telling good stories!

Predeceased by his parents, Kendyl was a loving father to Addie M., and Grampa Willette to Allison, Vance, and Kane Openshaw. He was loved by his 12 siblings: Darryl, Cheryl (Fawcett), Karyl, Gerryl (deceased), Micheyl, Randyl, Kristyl, Dayl, Loweyl, Erryl, Royl (deceased), Russyl and his God Parents, Constance & Gabriel Willette.

He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a canine's best buddy. Christopher (nephew) found a best friend in him and he will be sorely missed by the rest of his friends and family! We will always remember his charming dimpled smile, his funny chuckle, and kind eyes.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date.

Friends wishing to remember Kendyl David Willette may make memorial donations to the Renal Dialysis Unit at the Adirondack Medical Center in care of the funeral home.

Family and friends can also share their memories and sign the online guestbook at fortunekeoughfuneralhome.com
