Elizabeth Ann (Betty Ann) Allen-Wells, 76, of Saranac Lake NY, passed away at home Thursday, December 3, 2015 with loving family by her side.
Born January 26, 1939, she was the daughter of Clifford and Pauline (Wooley) Allen. She married Robert (Bob) Glenn Wells in 1958 who predeceased her in 2001.
Betty Ann, our Momma (also known affectionately as: Boggie, Grey Grey and Gramma Soup by her loved ones) enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, the ocean, painting pictures, plants, going out to dinner, biggest passion of all, cooking, cooking for every reason and no reason which was always enjoyed by all. She was devoted to her family, her home and her many pets, she loved all so very dearly. She impacted many in her lifetime. She was forever caring, compassionate and kind, always extending help and love to family and friends and cared for many others in their difficult times. You are our angel.
Betty Ann held many jobs throughout her life and retired after 25 years with the American Management Association. She went on to do part time work for several years at St. Joseph’s addiction and recovery center fully retiring in 2014. Betty Ann was a member of the BPOE Elks 1508. She was very dedicated to her Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and dearly loved her church family.
She is survived by her three daughters: Cindy Sue Wells-Bomyea & husband Phillip Bomyea of Saranac Lake NY. Shelly Lynn Wells of New Hampshire. Barbara Jean Wells-Ohmann & husband Glenn Ohmann also of Saranac Lake NY. Six grandchildren: Jodie Nicole Wells, Danielle Nicole Ohmann, Brianne Elizabeth Graham, Heth Hardin Graham, Mark Robert Bomyea & Kathryn Danielle Bomyea. Six great grandchildren: Jerzey Madelyn, Jaylee May Grace, Owen Jacob, Hayden Lee, Addilyn Grace, Payton Kathryn and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Along with her parents and husband she was predeceased by her baby Sister: Sue Allen and her brother Clifford Benjamin Allen Jr.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Fuenral Home in Saranac Lake. At her request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A memorial church service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, John Brown Road, Lake Placid, NY at 10:00 AM on Tuesday December 8, 2015 a later date.
