David F. Voudren, age 66, of Bloomingdale, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at C.V.P.H Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on September 10, 1955, he was the son of Angus and Barbara (Charron) Voudren. David, married Lisa Sussey on June 22, 1974 in Saranac Lake by Rev. C.J. McAvoy.
David had been employed by the New York State Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer from 1988 to 2003. Prior to that David had worked as a paid fire driver for the Village of Saranac Lake from 1973 to 1981. He was a past member of the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed golfing, fishing and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife Lisa of Bloomingdale, one son Christopher Voudren of Oneida, four brothers Wayne (Joanne) Voudren, Terry (Kim) Voudren, Jeffrey Voudren, and Craig Voudren, and one sister Laurie (Doug) Madigan; four grandchildren David Scott, Kendal Hooker, Jessica Marciniak and Emily (Lance) Tinkham, 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son Scott Voudren and two brothers Ken and Richard Voudren.
Calling hours are set to take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday October 19, 2021. A firefighter’s prayer service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service with Rev. Paul Kelly officiating.
