TUPPER LAKE- Paul Vezeau, 82, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Born December 21, 1931 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Leopold and Priscilla (LaVigne) Vezeau. Paul attended local schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1951. He served during the Korean War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star service medal. He was honorably discharged June 1953. On January 22, 1956 he married the former Margaret Amell at Holy Name Church. He was employed as a Security Officer at Sunmount DDSO retiring in 1988 after 23 years of service. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 4th degree, Disabled American Veterans, VFW Post 3120 and the American Legion. Paul was also a cancer survivor. He is survived by his wife Margaret, two daughters; Paula Ford and her husband Ron of Auburn, Darcy Helm and her husband Maurice of Tupper Lake, four grandchildren; Brian Ford and his wife Kristin, Kevin Ford and his companion Kate Chohaney, James (Jimmy) Matthews, Kara Thibert and her husband Ben, great grandchildren; Brynne Reagan Ford and Aliya Jade Thibert. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, October 31 from 11 - 1:45 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 2pm at St. Alphonsus church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Heart Association.
