Monte N. Vaughn, age 57, of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, January 07, 2018 at his residence in Tupper Lake.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on July 26, 1960, he was the son of Loren and Jean (Seney) Vaughn.
Monte had worked at North Star Industries for many years and was a member of Take Off Pounds Sensibly.
He is survived by his mother Jean Parker of Bloomingdale, his father Loren Vaughn of Saranac Lake, two brothers Adrian Vaughn and Dale Vaughn of Saranac Lake and one sister Jean Vaughn also of Saranac Lake. He is also survived by one half-sister, Amanda Buck, two step siblings, Tracey Rogers and Dan Hardsock and by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Vaughn.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2:00 PM -4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 13, 2018 at St. Paul's Oratory in Bloomingdale, with Rev. Paul Kelly officiating. Monte’s past and present caregivers are asked to serve as an honor guard at church. A reception will follow downstairs in the St. Paul’s Oratory Parish Center. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Bloomingdale in the spring.
