Michael Tyler

Michael Gene Tyler, age 61, of Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 14, 1955, he was the son of Gene and Rita (LaBrake) Tyler.

Mike was a lifelong resident of the area and had been employed by the Village of Saranac Lake DPW for 30 years as a Truck Driver.

He is survived by his mother Rita Tyler of Bloomingdale, six children Michael Tyler, Jr. of Lake Placid, Kathy Tyler Pell of Lincolnton, NC, Lynn Martin of Saranac Lake, Albert Tyler of Woodruff, SC, Samantha Lopez of Lincolnton, NC and Joan Corrow of Spartanburg, SC, two brothers David (Florence) Tyler of Saranac Lake and Dale (Judy) Tyler of Lake Clear, one sister Candy (Brian) Hetherly of Albany, many grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, his girlfriend Catherine Snide of Saranac Lake, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Tyler.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be immediately follow at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 9:00 AM at Union Cemetery on Wednesday June 6.
