Patricia "Pat" Tuthill

Patricia Mae Tuthill, age 93, of Saranac Village at Will Rogers and formerly of Vermontville, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on July 28, 1929, she was the daughter of Ernest and Angeline (Lagree) Hathaway. Patricia, married Raymond A. Tuthill on Thursday, August 25, 1949. He predeceased her on March 10, 2010.

Patricia was a lifelong resident of Vermontville up until the last five years. She had been employed as a school bus driver and custodian for the Saranac Lake Central School System for over thirty years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Bloomingdale.

She is survived by three daughters JoAnn Cass and her husband Gordon of Vermontville, Brenda Farmer of Saranac Lake and Shawn Merrill and her husband Dean of Vermontville; one son Raymond R. Tuthill of Syracuse; three grandchildren Marc Cass of Vermontville, Megan Nelson of Queensbury and Hayley Merrill of Vermontville; four great grandchildren Brant Cass and Noelle Cass of Plattsburgh and Jordyn Nelson and Jared Nelson of Queensbury as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, two brothers Lyle Hathaway and Harold Hathaway and a daughter-in-law Sharon Tuthill.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 17, 2022 at St. Paul's Church in Bloomingdale, with Rev. Paul Kelly officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
