Barbara Tallman

Barbara "Tinker Bell" (Bell) Tallman, age 58, of Bloomingdale, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Rochester, New York on June 15, 1959, she was the daughter of Robert and Helen (St. James) Bell. Barbara married Donald Tallman at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.

Barbara had been employed as a secretary for the Red Canoe Antiques in Bloomngdale for many years. Prior to that she had been employed at the Saranac Lake General Hospital as a Nurses Aid, secretary at Rosebud Creamery in Saranac Lake and a secretary at the Asplin Tree Farm in Gabriels. Barbara was an avid gardener, antique collector and sports fan. She especially loved the NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by her husband Donald Tallman of Bloomingdale, two sons Raymond Tallman of Saranac Lake and Christopher Tallman of Bloomingdale, three brothers Michael (Linda) Bell of Ft. Collins, CO, Robert (Leslie) Bell of Saranac Lake and Thomas (Patricia) Bell of Queensbury, four grandchildren Helena, Olivia, Patricia and James and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in law Patricia and Bruce.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Church , with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating.
