Dorothy R. Sullivan, age 94, of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Mercy Living Center in Tupper Lake where she had been a resident since 2013.
Born in Canton, New York on August 27, 1922, she was the daughter of Irving and Mary (Vaughn) Evans. Dorothy, married James Sullivan who predeceased her on September 16, 1980.
Dorothy had been a resident of Bloomingdale since since 1961 moving here from Malone, NY. Prior to that she had worked as a bus driver for City Bus in Buffalo, New York.
She is survived by several cousins including Lou Plumley of Long Lake, Gary Plumley of Florida and Fr. Emanuel Sullivan of Graymoor, NY.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4PM - 5PM. A prayer service will immediately follow at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Patrick Ratitgan officiating. Burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery in the spring.
