Wilfred Skiff, age 77, of 4 Union Lane, Bloomingdale, died Friday, August 17, 2012 at home.
Born in Vermontville, New York on March 10, 1935, he was the son of Earl and Sara (Martin) Skiff.
Wilfred had been employed at the Tupper Lake Veneer Company for many years. He was and avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by one son Mickey Skiff of Saranac Lake, two daughters Veronica Castaneda of Rhode Island and Rose M. Lowndes of Bloomingdale, one sister Rosella Bradley of Tupper Lake, three grandchildren Ricky Lowndes, Dakota Skiff, and Marcy Banker, 4 great grandchildren including David McLain and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers Theodore and Vernon, and three sisters Pauline Skiff, Mary Arnold and Beatrice Boyle.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Bloomingdale, NY.
