Charles Simpson, age 87, of Rochester, died Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Rochester General Hospital.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 07, 1929, he was the son of Mayroe D. and Bertha (Brickman) Simpson.
Charles graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1947 and moved to Rochester at the age of 19. He worked for Eastman Kodak for 25 years until his retirement. Charles was an excellent piano player and a wiz on computers. After his retirement from Eastman Kodak he worked for himself for several years producing magazine covers.
Adored by many and loved by all, he is survived by one brother Augie Simpson of Bloomingdale and one sister Alice Hoog of Cap Canaveral, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his caregiver of 30 years Gilbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Edward Simpson and William Jay Simpson, two sisters Dorothy White and Bertha Dyer; as well as a sister-in-law, Eileen Simpson.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service will take place in Brookside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
