Cathy Scarnati

Cathy Mingery Scarnati, age 71, of Malone NY, passed away on Tuesday November 7, 2023 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone surrounded by her Friends to whom were family to Cathy.

Cathy was born on June 27, 1952 in New York, NY the daughter of Salvatore Scarnati and Helen Mingey.

Cathy grew up in Manhattan and then later moved to Saranac Lake, NY where she joined us at Citizen Advocates Inc. She resided at Mackenzie Pond IRA where she lived for many years. She recently moved to Malone to the Constable IRA in 2022. Cathy was a true blessing to her housemates and the staff that supported her.

Cathy loved spending her time tending to her baby dolls, she loved wearing her metals that she took so much joy in showing them to people. She was most happy when she was going out to lunch to have her favorite meal, Big Mac and a Coke Zero. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her friends that would visit.

Cathy had a beautiful smile and was such a joy to be around, she will truly be missed by all whom have entered her life and had to privilege to care and know Cathy.

Funeral Arrangements are in care of Fortune- Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Calling hours will be held Friday November 17, 2023 from 10am until 12pm at the Funeral Home with a memorial service at noon with Fr. Martin Cline officiating. Burial will follow at the Brainardsville Cemetery, Brainardsville, NY. with Deacon Brent Charland officiating burial services.
