Cora Salls

Cora Ann Salls, age 69, of 114 Donaldson Road, Lake Clear, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 23, 1947, she was the daughter of Mirtin and Adeline (St. Louis) Skeels. Cora married Theodore Salls on January 7, 2000 in Saranac Lake.

Cora worked at various area hotels in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid for many years. She also drove tractor trailer for Morrow Fuel Company and truck and trailer for her husband Ted. She was an avid member of the Saranac Lake Moose Club, and the Saranac Lake Veterans Memorial Association Ladies Auxiliary. Cora especially loved helping children.

She is survived by her husband Theodore Salls of Lake Clear, three sons James Hinkley of Saranac Lake, William Hinkley, Jr. of Mt. Ulla, NC and Brian Hinkley of Onchiota, one daughter Tina Russell of Bellow Creek, NC, one brother Keith Skeels, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Marie Gonyea.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Funeral service will take place at the convenience of the family.
