Jane Rovito, age 74, of 45 Main Street, Bloomingdale, NY, died Friday, April 01, 2011 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 13, 1936, she was the daughter of Albert and Frances (Sullivan) Bunker. Jane married A. John Rovito on December 13, 1969 in St. Bernard's Church. He predeceased her on April 9, 1994.
Jane was raised in Gabriels, NY and had been a life long resident of the Saranac Lake area. She attended and graduated from the Saranac Lake High School and later attended CCBI in Syracuse for business management. Jane worked for Marine Midland Bank in Saranac Lake for 34 years. She later worked for the American management association until her retirement. Jane was a member of the Saranac Lake Adult Center and the Bloomingdale Over 55 Club. She is a past member of the Ladies of the ELKS and the Saranac Lake Moose Club. Jane was an avid bowler and New York Yankees fanatic.
She is survived by one son John Rovito and his wife Deborah Graham of Brushton, NY, one brother Charles Bunker of Fullerton, CA, one sister Ann Bunker of Syracuse, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her and mother.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Rev. Allan Lamica officiating. Interment will take place in St. Bernard's Cemetery in the spring.
