ROSE M. ROSKY
Mrs. Rose Marie Maroun Rosky, of 204 Raquette River Drive, Tupper Lake; passed peacefully with her family to our Lord on Sunday, the 14th of October.
She was born in Tupper Lake on August 24, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Maroun. Rose graduated from Tupper Lake High School, worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. and Rome Army Airfield during WWII then transferred back to Tupper Lake, working for the Sunmount Veterans Administration Hospital. Upon its closure and takeover by the State, she worked until retirement in the mid-eighties.
Rose married her loving husband Algert J. Rosky in March of 1951 and he predeceased her in 1984. She was also predeceased by her mother and father; sister Lilah Jarvis, and brothers Walter and Joseph Maroun.
Rose is survived by three brothers, Theodore, Woodrow and Donald Maroun. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; including Mayor and County Legislator from Tupper Lake, Paul Maroun. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, October 17th from 5 to 7 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus church.
