Annabelle Rogers, age 79, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the AMC-Uihlein Mercy Center where she had been a resident since 2005.
Born in Lake Placid, New York on February 03, 1931, she was the daughter of Peter and Inez (Denton) LaMoy, Sr. Annabelle married Roy G. Rogers, Sr. He predeceased her in 2004.
Mrs. Rogers was a life long resident of the Tri-Lakes area. She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, arts and crafts and listening to gospel music.
She is survived by two sons Dwight Rogers and his wife Dawn of Saranac Lake, NY, and Roy Rogers, Jr. of Malone, NY, one daughter Linda Grooms and her husband Philip of Leesville, LA, five grandchildren Melanie Cook, Jeremy Rogers, Cara Williamson, Heidi Pierce, and Philip Grooms, Jr. and Several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and one brother Peter LaMoy, Jr.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Monday March 1, 2010 at the AMC-Uihlein Reiss Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Patrick O'Reilly officiating. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
