Marguerite Minney Reyome, age 91, formerly of Lake Clear died Thursday, May 02, 2013 at Uihlein Living Center.
Born in Clayburgh, New York on November 17, 1921, she was the daughter of Vivian and Delia (Pellerin) Minney.
Marguerite, married Edward Reyome on November 29, 1941. He predeceased her on February 10, 2003.
Mrs. Reyome has been a resident of the area all her life. She worked at the Lake Clear Inn as a waitress during high school, for F.W. Woolworth's in Saranac Lake and during WWII she worked at the Richmond, VA Woolworth's to be close to her husband, who was in the military. After the war she returned to Woolworth's and also worked at the Pyramid Camp on Upper Saranac Lake. In the late 1950's she started work at AMA retiring after 25 years in 1984. After retirement she and Ed travelled extensively, mostly enjoying Hawaii and Alaska. She was a member of the Home Bureau, Ladies of the Elks and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by two grandsons Eric Reyome of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Craig Reyome of Lake Wales, FL, one granddaughter Nicole Reyome of Troy, NY, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her one son Daniel Reyome, and all her sisters Nora Clark, Hazel and Helen Strack and Kathleen Ohmann.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12:00 PM on Saturday at St. John’s Church in Lake Clear, with Rev. Bill Muench officiating. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Lake Clear.
