George L. Reynolds, age 69, of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, March 5, 2023 at his home.
Born in Oneida, New York on January 15, 1954, he was the son of Robert Reynolds and Barbara Holmes. George married Yvonne St. John on June 18, 1983 at the First United Methodist Church in Saranac Lake.
George had been employed for over 40 years as a truck driver for various trucking companies including Air Liquide Transport out of Albany, NY. Before George drove truck he trained and rode horses for several years. He retired in 2010 due to health reasons. George was a past member and past administrator for the Saranac Lake Moose Club for a few years. George was also an avid camper and enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne of Bloomingdale, two daughters Courtney (Jeremy) Youngmann of Champlain and Shannon Reynolds-Maroun of Saranac Lake, A son Adam (Shauna) Reynolds of Bloomingdale, 8 grandchildren, Logan, Cayden, Carsyn, Cohen, Carter, Lincoln, Easton and Grant. Two brothers Randy Reynolds of Rome and Donald Gwynn of Oneida, two sisters Karen (Donald) Burbidge of Delphia Falls and Shelly (Bernie) Haldenwang of Oneida, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Rodricke “Rod” Reynolds and his buddy William “Buck” Paye Jr., and both his parents.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A celebration of life will take place on Sunday March 19, 2023 at the Bloomingdale Fire Station. A brief prayer service will take place there at 2:00 PM with Rev. Martin Cline officiating with a reception to follow. Burial will take place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery at a later date.
