Augusta "Gussie" Reandeau, 89, of Tupper Lake passed away peacefully among loved ones, Friday, January 18, 2013 at Mercy Living Center. Born September 24, 1923 in Manhattan, NY she was the first of nine children born to Jerolamo and Giovannia (Corigliano) LaGreca. She graduated from Julia Richmond High School in Manhattan and during WWWII, worked in the Brooklyn Navy Yard as a medical assistant. While visiting the Adirondacks with her brothers, she met the LaFave-Reandeau family, fell in love and married Howard H. Reandeau in Tupper Lake. Together, they raised their family among friends on Emma Street. Gussie spent most of her life as a home maker; Later in life she enjoyed spending time as a foster grandparent at LP Quinn elementary school. She enjoyed bingo nights with the girls and family get togethers. Gussie was vibrant and known for her laughter and love of life. She is survived by her children, Larry and his wife Sheila of Tupper Lake, George and his wife Gaylee of Indian Alaska, Donna Boucher of Tupper Lake, Toni Boushie of Tupper Lake and John Reandeau and his wife Maria. Also surviving are six grandchildren whom she adored; Rick Reandeau, Mike Reandeau, Marc Boucher, Shawn Boucher, Lita Belcher and John Reandeau. Great-grandchildren, Kiana and Rena Reandeau, Joshua Boucher, Eli Belcher. She was pre-deceased by her husband Howard, her son-in-law Anthony "Butch" Boucher and eight brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, January 21 at St. Alphonsus church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in May. Memorial donations may be considered to Mercy Living Center-Warde Unit. Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home.
