Theodore Ratelle

Theodore “Ted” L. Ratelle, age 82, of Saranac Lake, died Monday, August 01, 2016 at AMC-Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on February 15, 1934, he was the son of Chester and Margaret (Dennison) Ratelle, Sr.

Ted was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had been employed by Commercial Roofing and Saranac Lake Sheet Metal for many years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his companion of 17 years Rita Groell of Saranac Lake, three sons Ted. L. (Bernadette) Ratelle of Lake Clear, Brady Ratelle of Tupper Lake and Ryan Ratelle of Saranac Lake, one daughter Wendy (Tom) Duprey, one brother Chester Ratelle of Saranac Lake, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother four brothers and two sisters.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 7:00 PM - 7:45 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7:45 PM Friday Evening with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
