Doris C. Poulin, age 78, of 1275 Pine Street, Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, July 01, 2014 at Adirondack Medical Center.
Born in Upper Jay, New York on June 20, 1936, she was the daughter of Erwin and Helena (Goucher) Jacques. Doris married Adelor Poulin on July 20, 1952 in Wilmington, New York. He predeceased her on March 26, 1979.
Doris is a life long resident of the area and had been employed as a chambermaid at various area hotels including the Golden Arrow, Mirror Lake Inn and the Lake Placid Hilton. She enjoyed puzzle books, bingo, reading, and watching her soap operas and game shows.
She is survived by one son David Poulin of Saranac Lake, three daughters Carol Corrow and her husband Lawrence of Saranac Lake, Linda LaComba and her husband John of Sodus, NY, Nancy Martin and her husband Jeffrey of Saranac Lake, Tammie Brown and her husband John of Bombay, one sister Madelyn of Albany, NY and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and two sisters Geraldine and Pauline.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial take place at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
