CASTLETON-Ronald D. Poirier, 52, of Castleton, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Kingston Hospital in Kingston, NY. Born October 9,1959 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Levis and Laeticia Poirier. Ron had been employed at Kristel Mechanical in Rotterdam, NY. His passion in life was spending time with his children and riding his Harley. He is survived by his mother of Potsdam, one son, PFC Levi Poirier currently stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia, one daughter, Lacey Poirier of Castleton, former wife Danielle Poirier of Castleton, six sisters; Shirley Jock and her partner Roger Demars of Tupper Lake, Lorraine Pitcher and her husband Dale of Potsdam, Barbara Baranoski of Philadelphia, PA, Nancy McFaul and her husband Norman of Jay, NY, Vicky Tarbox and her husband Greg of Ogdensburg, NY, Debbie Mitchell and her husband Dale of Pendelton, OR, three brothers; Sonny Poirier and his wife Gina of Tupper Lake, Richard Poirier of Tupper Lake and Billy Poirier of Potsdam. Calling hours will be held on Thusday from 5 to 7 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday at 10 am at Holy Name Church.
