B. Jacqueline Patnode

B. Jacqueline “Jackie” Patnode, age 84, of 162 Neil Street, Saranac Lake, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Mercy Health Care Center in Tupper Lake.

Born in Tupper Lake, New York on January 10, 1931, she was the daughter of Sanford and Emira (Tice) Jones. She married Roland Patnode on September 16, 1950 in Paul Smith, NY.

Jackie graduated from North Creek High School in 1948. She had been employed as a Radio Dispatcher for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for 20 years until her retirement in 1991. Jackie was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Bernard and had volunteered at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake for many years. She was an avid bowler for over 50 years and was well known in the bowling leagues as “Jackie’s Angels.” She was also a licensed Ham radio operator call sign “KB2ZIE”

She is survived by her husband Roland Patnode of Saranac Lake, one daughter Tammy Stanton and her husband Wesley of Lake Placid, two brothers Richard Jones of Peru and Edwin Jones and his wife Peggy of Fairbanks, Alaska and one sister Cindy Lane of Missouri. She was predeceased by on sister Pam Coleman and two brothers Sanford and Wayne Jones.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 26, 2015 at St. Bernard's Church with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating.
