Born in New York City on March 10, 1931, he was the son of Glenn and Myrtle (Salomon) Pareira. He married Judith Orloske on December 31, 1975 in Miami, FL.
After Glenn graduated from High School in White Plains, NY, he moved to Chicago and worked at the Chicago Stock Yards for one year before he was drafted into the army and served on American soil during the Korean War. After his military service he rode his motorcycle from California to his parents in Chicago, and then moved to Miami, FL where he bought a house and went to Watch Making school on the GI Bill. He then began working for HiFi Associates in Miami where he was a buyer, reviewing audio equipment and deciding what to stock in the store. From that employment he developed his lifelong passion for beautiful music and working with sound systems and audio equipment.
In 1964 he moved to New York City and did installation work at the Mexican and Moroccan Pavilions at the New York Worlds Fair and installed several audio systems. As a result of that employment he began his own company, “Priority Electronics Corporation”. For 25 years, he designed systems for many famous people including John Lennon, Allen Klein, Sherrill Milnes, Nelson Rockefeller, and many, many others.
Glenn and his wife Judy liked to camp and would regularly drive Glenn's van with canoe on top to points in Maine, Canada, and the Adirondacks. They bought property in Fish Creek Park in 1974 where they planned to build their “Country Home”. After having their son JJ in 1986, Glenn and Judy decided to leave the city and move permanently to the Adirondacks.
After moving to Saranac Lake in 1989, Glenn retired and devoted his time to improving the property at Fish Creek Park and raising his son JJ. He was also a Cub Scout Leader with Pack 3 in Lake Clear, NY.
Glenn had a lifelong love of music, the Adirondacks, and his family.
