Adelaide R. Patnode, age 78, of 5612 State Route 30, Saranac Inn, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Adirondack Medical Center.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on October 27, 1933, she was the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Facteau) Prue. Adelaide married Robert F. Patnode August 21, 1953 in St. Bernard's Church.
Adelaide is a life long resident of the area and had worked alongside her husband as the Assistant Caretaker / Cook at the Pine Rock Camp in Saranac Inn.
She is survived by one son Michael Paul "Red" Patnode and his wife Sally of Gabriels, NY, one grandson Clyde Parker and his companion Ashley Swain of Gabriels, NY, one great grandson Hunter John Parker of Gabriels, NY, two sisters Jeanet Elmedorf of Phoenix, NY, and Mary Abare of Phoenix, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse of over 50 years Robert Patnode, her father, mother and one brother Louis Prue.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow Monday evening at the funeral home at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Following cremation burial will take place at Mt. View Cemetery in Gabriels.
