Richard Waldman Pacharz

“Be Here Now”

Richard Waldman Pacharz passed away suddenly on January 1, 2014 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Rockville Centre, NY in 1945 to Lillian and Henry Pacharz, he was a graduate of Baldwin High School, Baldwin, NY and Rider College, Lawrenceville, NJ.

He was a long time resident of Saranac Lake, owned and operated Audio Vision in Lake Placid for many years, and was known for his random acts of business. Richard made friends wherever he went. He was passionate about skiing Whiteface with the crew and golfing with his buddies in the summer.

Richard was a caring, generous and gentle husband, father, and friend. His zest for life was contagious and he will be forever missed.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Cynthia Tarbell Pacharz, his devoted sons Abraham and Austin, his loving sister and her husband, Rose and Rudy Valentine, and many caring sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Please join us in celebrating his life at 11 am at the Lake Placid Synagogue, 2301 Saranac Ave, Lake Placid, NY, on Sunday, January 5, 2014.

To honor his passion for the Adirondacks and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wild Center at 45 Museum Dr., Tupper Lake, NY 12986 (www.wildcenter.org/waystogive) or Adirondack Mountain Club, Inc. at 814 Goggins Rd., Lake George, NY 12845 (www.adk.org).

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Family and friends can share their memories and sign the online guestbook at fortunekeoughfuneralhome.com.
