TUPPER LAKE- Dorothy L. Ouillette, 88, of Tupper Lake, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at AMC Mercy Center where she had resided for the past 3 months. She was born the oldest of seven children to Chet and Ellen (Knapp) Johnson in Bloomingdale NY on December 20, 1920. Dorothy married Leon Ouillette on September 15, 1943 in Tupper Lake and they had one daughter Leona. Dorothy worked at the Oval Wood Dish Corp., the Dress Factory and Sunmount DDSO as a Developmental Aide retiring in 1983. She was pre-deceased by her husband in 2007, two sisters Mary Ellen Hall and Emily Brown all died before her. She is survived by her daughter Leona McFaul and her husband Lee of Tupper Lake, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One sister Faith Day; and her husband Peter of Saranac Lake, three brothers Bill Johnson and his wife Jane, of Tupper Lake, Stanley Johnson of Tupper Lake, Wesley Johnson and his wife Genie of Montgomery, Al and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, loved family get togethers and really enjoyed holding and playing with her cat Missy. At Dorothy’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. Donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home.
