David Ouillet, age 80, of 156 Ivy Terrace, Tupper Lake, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY.
Born in Tupper Lake, New York on November 12, 1928, he was the son of Emile and Anna (LaBrie) Ouillet. He married Milly McDonald on August 9, 1972. They had celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in September of 1997 just before Milly predeceased him.
Mr. Ouillet was a lifelong resident of Tupper Lake and had worked at the Oval Wood Dish Company, Johnson Contracting, Village of Tupper Lake and Drapers until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the AFLCIO Union.
He is survived by his step-son Richard Arnold and his wife Nancy of Tupper Lake, and their children, April, Jason and Adam, his step-son Mike Arnold and his wife Cindy, of Ridgefield, Washington and their children Mckenzie and Maggie, his step-daughter Susan Frank and her husband Rick of Scotia, NY and their children, Shoshanna, Jamison, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by 4 step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Milly in 1997, a brother Leon and two step daughters, Nancy Gore and Sally Arnold.
Calling hours will take place at Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 1, 2009 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Frank officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Tupper Lake.
