Thomas C Norman, Jr., age 83, of 1441 State Route 3, Saranac Lake, died Sunday, November 07, 2010 at his home.

Born in Bloomingdale, New York on November 30, 1926, he was the son of Thomas C. and Mabel Olive (Brundage) Norman, Sr. He married Barbara Lotze on November 26, 1949 in Webster, New York.

Mr. Norman owned and operated Norman Farms in Saranac Lake until his retirement in 1985. He served on the Boards of Directors for Adirondack Bank and the Loon Lake Home Owners Association. Mr. Norman was a member of the New York State Potato Growers Association, Saranac Lake Elks BPOE 1508, Whiteface Mountain Masonic Lodge, Bloomingdale United Methodist Church and East Branch Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Norman of Saranac Lake, NY, three children Ann N. Aumand and her husband Michael of Massena, NY, Susan Norman Benway of Jay, NY, and Thomas C. Norman, III and his wife Pam of Harrisburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, John, Kelsey, Kayla, Garth, Thomas C. IV, and Carly, four great grandchildren, Elisha, Ethan, Hannah and Eloise and also by his loyal dog Tuki. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one sister Phyllis N. Knobel

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 21st at the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church with Rev. Andrea Sears officiating.
