Jean Elise Murphy, 57 of Saranac Lake died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She fought long and hard to survive but finally succumbed on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
She was born September 3, 1964 in Saranac Lake, NY to Kenneth and Georgia Murphy.
She knew practically everyone in town through her work in the hospitality industry. And, when time allowed, winters relaxing in Lakeland, Florida by the pool and riding her golf cart on the nature trails, and making yet even more friends. She was an accomplished downhill skier in her younger years, in fact she was on a Junior Olympic Ski Racing Team. She also was on many bowling teams where she traveled and made many friends. She enjoyed hunting and feeding the birds and of course watching the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills.
She is survived by her partner of 28 years, Tracey Dragoon, her mother Georgia Murphy, sister Brenda Stringer, brother Ray Murphy and his wife Lynne Murphy, niece Jessica Murphy, nephews Murphy & Sam Stringer, Taylor Murphy, Tracey’s parents, Gary and Betty Dragoon, endless close friends. And of course the current boxer baby “Biz”.
