Elsie "Birdie" Morin, age 84, of 137 Main Street, Bloomingdale, died Thursday, September 08, 2011 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Buffalo, New York on August 30, 1927, she was the daughter of J. William and Elsie (Klein) Anderson, Sr. She married William Thomas Morin on August 25, 1966 in Buffalo, New York. He predeceased her on August 2, 2004.
Elsie had been a resident of the Saranac Lake area since 1984. Prior to that she had resided in Buffalo New York where she had been employed as a Key Punch Supervisor for the Dunlop Company until her retirement in 1984. Elsie loved to sing and play the organ especially with her sisters. She enjoyed bowling, Lawrence Welk show, cross word puzzles and boating.
She is survived by one daughter Carolyn Salls and her husband William Salls of Bloomingdale, NY, two sons Daniel Plowe and his wife Laurie of Lake Clear, NY and Norman A. Plowe Jr. of Cheektowaga, NY, one sister Marilyn O'Lear and her husband Gerald of Lockport, NY. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father, mother, one daughter Colleen Lewandowski, one son William Thomas Morin, Jr., her twin sister Audrey Watts and one brother J. William Anderson, Jr.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.
