Rita Corinne Moody, age 86, formerly of 20 Crossfield Avenue, Saranac Lake, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at the Adirondack Medical Center.

She was born in Saranac Lake, New York on September 22, 1924, the daughter of William and Louise (Gero) Woodruff. She married Alfred G. Moody at St. Bernard’s Church on September 22, 1942. He predeceased her on May 21, 2006.

Corinne Moody was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake. She was a very caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and visiting with her family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Rodney Moody and wife Donna of Chazy Lake, NY, and Al Moody and wife Mary Lou of Saranac Lake, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one brother Arnie Woodruff of Saranac Lake. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna McCormick, one sister Muriel Lyon, and three brothers Gerald, Russell and Clayton Woodruff.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday at St. Bernard’s Church with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Burial will take place in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
