Jeanne Montgomery

Jeanne G. Montgomery, age 94, of State Rt. 3, Vermontville, NY died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at AMC-Uihlein in Lake Placid where she had been a resident since August.

Born in Verviers, Belgium, on November 06, 1916, she was the daughter of Maurice and Alice (Legros) Georgin. She married Harold H. Montgomery on September 15, 1945 in Belgium. He predeceased her on October 29, 1995.

Jeanne retired as an LPN after 30 years of service at the Saranac Lake General Hospital and the Adirondack Medical Center.

She is survived by her daughter Joannie Keith and her husband Robert of Vermontville, her daughter Jeanne Foley of Vermontville, her granddaughter Heidi Drummond, her granddaughter Amy Keith, her great-granddaughter Victoria Drummond and her great-grandson Alexander Drummond. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold H., her father and her mother.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at Union Cemetery in Vermontville.
