Michael "Toddy" S. Madden

Word has been received of the death of Michael “Toddie” S. Madden, age 73, who passed away peacefully at his home at 14 Kiwassa Road in Saranac Lake on January 5, 2025.

He was born in Saranac Lake, NY and was a lifelong resident where he attended St. Bernard’s and Pus X Central High School, graduating in 1970. He was a chef in many area restaurants, retiring from the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. He was an avid fisherman, and in his later years he enjoyed feeding the ducks in the park. He was a well-liked, kind and respected man. Many will miss his dry wit and humor.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Mary Jane Madden of the Senn Cottage on Helen Street Hill. He is survived by many dear friends. 

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. At his request there will be no calling hours or services.
