TUPPER LAKE – Dick Watt Meisburger, 84, of Tupper Lake passed away Wednesday, February 2,
2012 at Mercy Living Center where he had resided the past 10 months.
Born July 19, 1927 in Buffalo, he was the son of L. Halliday and Margaret (Mitscher) Meisburger.
Mr. Meisburger was a graduate of Nichols School of Buffalo, attended the University of Buffalo, and
served with the Merchant Marines being discharged in 1948. Dick was employed as an Electrical
Wholesale Salesman retiring from L.A. Wooley after 35 years. While living in Boston, NY, he was a
member of the Boston Vol. Fire Dept. for over 25 years.
He and his wife, the former Shirley Yates, retired to Tupper Lake in 1983. Dick enjoyed his home on
Byram Rd. overlooking the Racquette River and was very active in the Tupper Lake Rotary serving as
secretary and treasurer for many years. He was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship in 1995.
He is survived by his wife Shirley now residing at Will Rogers, Saranac Lake and his daughter Robin
Meisburger, Niagara Falls NY.
He was predeceased by one brother, Halliday Meisburger.
There will be no services. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Dick's memory are asked
to consider the Tupper Lake Rotary.
