Mary Martinetti, age 96, of 272 Washington Street, Gloucester, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Golden Living Nursing Home, Gloucester, MA.
Born in Bloomingdale, New York on March 12, 1916, she was the daughter of Antonio and Santa (Nasta) Alphonso. She married Odino Martinetti on December 20, 1935 in South Londonderry, Vermont. He predeceased her on April 16, 1999.
Mrs. Marinetti enjoyed knitting, sewing, refinishing furniture, antiquing, cooking, reading and playing bridge.
She is survived by two sons Barry Martinetti and his wife Grace of Stoneham, MA, and Dr. Terry Martinetti and his wife Carin of Manchester, MA, and three Grandchildren, Carly, Alexis and Alana and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and 5 brothers Morris, Foster, Larry, Eugene and Antonio Alphonso and 5 sisters Julia Skiff, Anna Francois, Virginia Grew, Santa Elson, and Yolanda Benware.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday October 5, 2012 at St. Paul's Church in Bloomingdale. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
