OBITUARY
TUPPER LAKE- Pauline C. Leonard, 84, of Tupper Lake, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at AMC Mercy Center where she had resided for the past year. Born on April 1, 1925 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Albert and Cecile (Michaud) LaLonde. Pauline attended local schools and married John Leonard on October 13, 1945. He died on August 31, 2007. Pauline worked for a time at JJ Newberries in Tupper Lake and later owned and operated Pauly's yarn shop where she taught knitting and crocheting. She is survived by two sons; Steven Leonard of Glens Falls and Patrick Leonard of Greenville, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters; Adel Hunkins of Massena, Monica Leonard of Ogdensburg, two brothers, Melvin LaLonde and Albert LaLonde of Phoenix, Az. She was pre-deceased by her husband John, a daughter Sharon and two sisters, Violet and Gloria. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 31 from 4 to 7 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough FH in Tupper Lake. A Mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 at St. Alphonsus church.
