Helen K. LeBlanc, died peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was born November 19, 1924 in Binghamton, New York, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Mihal) Kalinak.

She grew up in Binghamton, NY and graduated from Binghamton Central High School in 1944. She went on to study business in Binghamton.

On January 28, 1950 she and Edward Joseph LeBlanc Jr. of Tupper Lake were married at St. Cyril’s Roman Catholic Church in Binghamton. They made their home in various parts of New York State before settling in Tupper Lake, NY in 1967. She worked in the business office of the OWD for many years until retiring in 1985. She was a regular volunteer at St. Alphonsus Church. In her retirement years she enjoyed visiting her children and spending the winters in their Florida home.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward J. LeBlanc, Jr., and 6 children: Anne L. Hinkley and her husband Robert of Chevy Chase, MD; Edward J. LeBlanc, III of San Rafael, CA; James R. LeBlanc and his wife Christine of Columbia, SC; Mary Jane Griffith and her husband Brad from Myrtle Beach, SC; Christopher J. LeBlanc and his wife Lori of Tupper Lake, NY; and Elizabeth L. Mercer and her husband Gary of Glen Allen, VA; and grandchildren Jack Hinkley; Michelle, James and his wife Sarah, Elizabeth and Joseph LeBlanc, Sam, Jenna and Sarah Griffith; Scott and Krista LeBlanc, Gregory and Adam Mercer. She is also survived by two special nieces, Marilyn Watkins and Janice Rounds.

She is predeceased by her sister Mary Orzelek and her brother Peter Kalenak, Jr.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7pm on Monday March 18, 2013 at Stuart- Fortune- Keough, Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 11am on Tuesday March 19, 2013.
