TUPPER LAKE- Gladys "DeeDee" LaVoy, 69, of Umatilla, Florida, formerly of Piercefield passed away, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at The Villages Regional Hospital. Born July 28, 1942 in Piercefield, she was the daughter of Corbin and Ruby (Tarbox) LaVoy. DeeDee held several jobs through her life, most importantly, she was a stay at home Mom. She also worked for Sunmount DDSO and later operated Heavy Equipment for various construction companies. She is survived by two daughters; Linda LaBrake of Richford, NY, Roberta Phillips and her husband Fred of Lake View, NY, three sons; Robert LaBrake of Star Lake, Jean Gagnon Jr. and his wife Sheila (St. Pierre) of Madrid, NY, Paul Gagnon and his wife Kim of Austin, TX, five brothers; Barry LaVoy and his wife Janet of Montezuma, NY, William Gilson of Piercefield, Corbin LaVoy and his wife Micki of Saratoga Springs, Dale LaVoy of Balston Spa, Lee LaVoy of Balston Spa, two sisters; Patti Stott and her husband David of Syracuse and Sharon Wason of North Carolina. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her parents,a sister Deanna, three husbands, Robert LaBrake Sr., Jean F. Gagnon Sr., and Leon LaFlamme. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday, February 20th from 5 - 8 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral home in Tupper Lake.
