Kenneth Lavigne

Kenneth D. Lavigne, age 61, of 35 Willow Way, Saranac Lake, died Thursday, December 01, 2016 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on December 24, 1954, he was the son of Harold and Imogene (Richardson) Lavigne.

Ken was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and worked with his parents in the family business Lavigne’s taxi service which has been in business for over 50 years. Ken traveled the country providing livery service to many notable celebrities and political figures throughout his career.

He is survived by one brother Paul (Christine) Lavigne of Massena, four sisters Linda (Gary) Finlayson of Saranac Lake, Beanie (Richard) Donaldson of Lake Clear, Carolyn (Joseph) Farrell of MI, and Terry Barnes of Massena, NYand many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one brother Myron "Butch" Lavigne and one brother-in-law Dave Barnes.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
