Adelaide M. LaRocque, age 63, of 82 Woodruff Street, Saranac Lake, died Monday, November 10, 2014.
Born in Tupper Lake, New York on July 31, 1951, she was the daughter of Arthur and Marie Jeannette (Sabourin) Clement. She attended Tupper Lake High School. She married Eugene D. LaRocque (1935-2012) on July 31, 1971 and had 3 children. Adelaide had been a resident of Saranac Lake since 1994. She had been a volunteer for High Peaks Hospice and the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Ice Palace IPW workers.
She is survived by her companion, Frank Brier; his five children and several grandchildren; two sons: Chris LaRocque of Leonardtown, MD, and Darren LaRocque and his wife Ashley of Tupper Lake; one daughter, Sherrye Urtz and her husband Greg of Leonardtown, MD; 6 grandchildren: Derek and Jason LaRocque, Jackson and Grace Urtz, Kylie Mashtare and Cadence LaRocque; two brothers: Arthur Jr. and Edward "Red" Clement, both of Tupper Lake; four sisters: Theresa Gaff of Tupper Lake, Cheryl Fee of Tupper Lake, Mary Joanne Mead of Hollywood, MD, and Jeannine Storer of St. Petersburg, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one granddaughter - Faith Urtz, four brothers and one sister.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Tupper Lake.
