TUPPER LAKE- Colleen A. Larabie, 66, of Tupper Lake, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born, June 15, 1943 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Robert and Loyola (Woods) Thornton. She was a graduate of Tupper High class of 1960. She was married to Philip Larabie in September 1991 and made their home in Titusville, Florida. They returned to Tupper Lake in 2003. Colleen was previously married to David Prenoveau and together had one son Mark who resides in Orlando. Colleen was employed at Ames department store in the Electronics Dept. She was a member of the Ladies Bowling League. She is survived by her husband Philip, son Mark, three stepchildren; Kristine Wilson of Biloxi, Ms., Kerri Broy of Long Beach, Ms. and Philip Larabie of Sebastian, Fl, eight grandchildren; Amber, Chad, Kenneth, Anthony, Ashlin, Nahtan, Chloe and Lucas. Also surviving are one sister Gwendolyn Staves of Tupper Lake and a brother Timothy Thornton of Chittenango, NY. She was pre-deceased by her parents, two sisters; Pat Hassler and Gwendolyn Lamora. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6 at 2pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Name cemetery in May.
