Tupper Lake- Gary S. LaQuay, 61, of Tupper Lake, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012. Born on December 3, 1950 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Charles and Helen (Snyder) LaQuay. Gary was a graduate of Tupper Lake High School class of 1968. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on March 26, 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1974. Gary was recently retired from Sunmount DDSO after over 30 years of service. For several years, Gary played in the men's softball leagues and later the basketball leagues. His greatest passion was fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by two sons; his son Cory and his wife Breanna and his son Jeff, two grandchildren, Jack and Charlotte all of Tupper Lake, one sister Debbie Godin and her husband Marshall, four brothers, Robert and his wife Viola, Richard, Terry and his wife Heidi and Randy. He was pre-deceased by his parents. Calling hours will be held at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Monday, April 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus cemetery with full military honors.
