Linda Lansberry

TUPPER LAKE- Linda Lansberry, 67, of Beaufort, SC, formerly of Tupper Lake, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at her home in Beaufort. Born on August 15, 1942 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Sam and Loretta Theriault. Linda attended local schools and married Jerry Amell on October 10, 1959. After living in various places, they settled in Piercefield, NY to raise their 4 children. Jerry died in 1982. Linda later moved to Pennsylvania and married Richard Lansberry from Ambridge. Linda worked various jobs in New York and volunteered as weblos scout leader, 4-H leader and was a member of the Eastern Stars. She worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block while residing in Pennsylvania and Beaufort. She is survived by her children; John Amell and his wife Cathy, Donna (Amell) King and her husband Scott, Bruce Amell and Phyllis, Lisa (Amell) Parker and her husband Kevin, grandchildren; Nicolas Amell and fiance` Danielle Fee, Carolyn Amell, Craig King and fiance` Lacey Veik, Becky King, Mitchell King, Jerry Amell and Alyssa Hollenbeck, Celeste Amell, Jordan Amell, Nichole Breton, Tony Breton, Cody Parker, great-grandchildren Aiden and Landon Amell. Also surviving are her brothers, John, Sam, Jimmy, Glenn and Rocky Theriault, sisters; Jean Bricky, Charlotte Desmarias, Sally Morin and Nancy Gale. She was pre-deceased by her husbands Jerry in 1982 and Richard in 2002, her parents and one sister Joanne Reandeau. Linda enjoyed being a homemaker and caregiver, as well as traveling, family picnics and cookouts. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, April 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-keough Funeral home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon at Holy Name Church, burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider; Hospice Care of America, Inc. or Sea Island Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
