Theola Lamoy, age 76, of Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, February 01, 2011 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Brushton, New York on May 08, 1934, she was the daughter of George and Elizabeth (White) Ross. She married Carlton Lamoy on November 16, 1957 in St. Bernard's Church. He predeceased her on April 3, 2010.
Mrs. Lamoy moved to Saranac Lake after graduation from High School. She worked as a Telephone Operator for the New York Telephone Company until she became disabled in 1963. Carl and Theola raised two daughters together; Theresa and Ann.
Mrs. Lamoy and her husband lived on Old Lake Colby Road from 1957 until 2009.
Mrs. Lamoy is a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 447 in Saranac Lake. She was a former member of The Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by two daughters Theresa Trudell and her husband Robert of Saranac Lake, NY and Ann Lamoy of Tacoma, WA, one sister Shirley Clemson of South Windsor, CT and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one sister Nintha May Clark and one brother Kenneth Ross.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 2:00 PM -4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A bible vigil service will take place at 7:45 PM on Friday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 5, 2011 at St. Bernard's Church with Rev. Paul Kelly officiating. Burial will take place at Harrietstown Cemetery in Saranac Lake in May.
