On Sunday September 9th, 2018, Michael Kondroski fell asleep in death as a result of heart complications.
Michael was born on June 15, 1949 to parents Mae (Cook) Kondroski and Michael Kondroski in Newark, NJ.
In 1970, after extensive Bible study and research, he became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Michael was later married to Miriam Hillman on June 12, 2971 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Saranac Lake, New York.
He graduated from Paul’s Smiths College with an associate’s degree. He worked for the Department of Environmental Conservation as assistant caretaker for Rollands Pond state campground. He had a great love for the mountains and natural environment around him. Michael later worked as a building and electrical contractor. While living in Florida he worked with his brother Roger as an air conditioning tech. For the last 16 years he and his wife have been owner-operators of Hillman’s Cottages in Saranac Lake.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Mae, his father Michael and his step father Harold Beckman. He is survived by his wife Miriam, his son David, his grandson Micah and his brother Roger of South Carolina and half-sister Diane of California.
He will be missed for his dry humor, smart wit and especially his kind and caring manner. But we are confident in the hope Michael maintained: “I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection…(Act 24:15). We look forward to being with him again in an early paradise under God’s heavenly Kingdom (Luke 23:43) Matthew 6:10).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 20, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 5043 State Route 3, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.
